About the Building
The Iceworks building, originally known as ‘Ithaca Iceworks’, was established in 1926 & is now one of Brisbane’s most iconic buildings.
While Iceworks maintains many hallmarks of its significant history, it has also evolved to complement the exciting Paddington precinct of which it is a part.
The Summit Events Centre (Summit being “higher in elevation”) is situated on the top floor of the Iceworks Building (Level One) and is the newest development on the site. Completed in December 2009, Summit has a busy & prosperous future ahead!
Eco Credentials
Summit’s Green Policy and commitment to sustainability is that wherever possible, we work to maintain being a venue with a conscience.
We apply this policy to efficient use of waste, water, materials & energy.
Summit Events Centre participates in Eco Biz through the use of neutral PH cleaning products, recycled paper consumables and biodegradable & recycled materials. In addition, we are currently pursuing water & energy efficient management plans for the venue.
