About the Area

Churches

Latrobe Wedding Chapel is five minutes drive from the Summit Events Centre. Established in 1886, it’s now one of the most distinct heritage listed churches in Brisbane. This gorgeous boutique village Chapel seats approximately 130 guests for Civil & Religious Weddings, naming ceremonies and baptisms.

Suncorp Stadium

The 180 degree views from the Summit Events Centre showcase Brisbane’s world class stadium. Suncorp provides Brisbane and south-east Queensland with a 52,500 plus seat capacity - accomodating Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer and concerts. Due to the fact that the stadium has no parking facilities, this part of town is very well serviced by public transport, making Summit Events Centre even more accessible!

Private Transport

Our carpark and taxi zone is in Dowse street, just off Given Terrace in Paddington. The Iceworks Building is directly opposite Suncorp Stadium. Enquire about our Summit Chauffeur Drive Service to get you to the venue in style or for group travel, private buses for varying sized groups can be arranged.

Public Transport

Buses: The Paddington Express Bus stop is directly outside the Iceworks Building: Stop 5 on Given Terrace approaching Dowse Street. The city Route 385 travels between The Gap and The City and together with the 375 they pass the venue every 5 – 15 minutes. The Peak Hour Service is Route 382. Buses from the city to The Summit from Brisbane’s CBD:
385 Leaves from the King George Square Bus Station Platform 1C
375 Leaves from stop 42 on Adelaide Street, opposite the King George Square Bus Station.
382 Leaves from Stop 130 on Turbot Street approaching Roma Street or Stop 91 on Charlotte Street, approaching George Street.
Trains The nearest stations are Milton and Roma St, which are both on the Ipswich and Caboolture lines.

Game Days

Suncorp ticket holders are entitled to travel free on the QLD Rail Citytrain & Brisbane bus networks to and from matches. In addition shuttle bus services run from around town direct to the stadium for two hours before kick off.
